This project in Coogee was a collaboration with the architect Natalie Sciberras.  This was an interesting project where the front garden and rear garden presented very different conditions.  The front garden was exposed to full sun and the prevailing north-east winds in summer.  Large sandstone steppers were used to complement the natural cliff surrounds and the plant selections here needed to withstand harsh summer conditions.  In the rear courtyard, our clients wanted an escape from the heat after a day at the beach.  Here we cooled the palette down using bluestone and introduced a wide variety of plants that provided a refreshing, cooling effect.
