Garage Rooftop Garden Stairs

Garage rooftop garden

Jul 12, 2016

Designing and engineering a garage rooftop garden to create another usable space, is well worth the effort. Below this rooftop garden sits a large garage accommodating 2 cars, pool equipment and plenty of storage. The white Alucobond is maintenance free and looks good with timber decking and contrasting black gate.

The garage rooftop garden creates another entertaining area with full visibility of the pool. Lounges and chairs create a destination point to enjoy the garden from another angle. Plants are installed across the street frontage in two rows of planters. Striking Agave guiengola X parasana line the front of the rooftop garden which can be seen as you drive up the street and enter the garage. Directly in front of these five tall pots are lower planters. Tall screening plants are used on the western boundary to get complete privacy from the block of units adjacent.

When designing garage rooftop gardens it is essential to get a professional involved as there are many structural considerations. Weight bearing needs to be considered and materials chosen carefully. If you have limited space it is a great investment to create a garden you may not have had before. And if you have the space but want to create another zone in your garden it is also a great idea. #rooftopgarden #alucobond #secretgarden #secrethideaway #secretgardenslandscapes #secretgardensofsydney
